Interactive Chanukah Menorah Wall Hangings
A Chanukah Menorah has eight candles and a Shamash - the candle that “lights” all the others. It commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple in the days of Judah Maccabee. The eight candles represent the miracle that the oil for the eternal lamp lasted eight days, even though there was only enough to last one day.
Each Chanukah Wall Hanging comes with its own candles easily displayed on the wall hanging. The Shamash is permanently attached. Each night you can “light” a new candle by attaching it to the velcro. Watch the menorah grow each night as you add the candles until you have eight “glowing” candles on the last night of Chanukah. Remember, put the candles in from right to left, like Hebrew.
The finished size is 12x18 in (305x460 mm).
You have the option of many different fabrics including dogs, cats, science chemistry themed, race cars, baseball, outer space, and music notes. Or if you have a theme in mind, contact Michele (michele@medwinfiberart.com) and she will see what fabric she can find that matches that theme.
